In a recent New York Times article, Steve Jobs was quoted as saying he thought the Kindle would go nowhere because Americans have stopped reading.   Is he right?  Is the Kindle doomed from the start because nobody reads any more?

  • The Coolest Kindle Feature

    Opinions are likely to vary, but certainly the ability to wirelessly download books and other written materials is a winning feature of the Kindle.  In one fell swoop, this device makes itself independent of computers and enters into its own, new product category.  What do you think the Kindle’s coolest feature is?

  • Amazon.com is not specifying any particular delivery time for Kindles on its web site.  It suggests customers order and get in line for a Kindle.  Aside from the now-shrinking number of Kindles on eBay (post-Christmas), getting “in line” at Amazon.com is the major way to get your hands on a Kindle at this point.

  • While the supply of Kindles is increasing on eBay, “Buy It Now” prices are still high, ranging from $900 to $1500. If you want a Kindle right away, you must be willing to pay a premium price.
