In a generally favorable review, the Christian Science Monitor gives the Kindle a thumbs-up, saying that the Kindle “gets a lot of it right.”  See the review here.

A quick check of eBay listings shows only one instance of the Amazon Kindle.  It has a “Buy Now” price of $499 - considerably higher than the original $399 price asked by Amazon.com.  Time will tell if this higher price reflects true demand.  eBay details here.

It didn’t take long for the Amazon Kindle to sell out. According to the Amazon.com website, the Kindle sold out due to heavy customer demand and will be back in stock on December 17, 2007. While the number of Kindles sold has not been announced, it certainly seems impressive to have a sell-out so soon.
